To drive the vespa 125 LX the italian law requires only the car driving license. All the same you shouldn't be a complete beginner, but have at least some previous experience driving a scooter

To drive the Ape Calessino you need the car licence. Better if you already have some experience with the manual transmission (typical for the old vespas, too)

general rental conditions:   

To rent one of our vehicles you need a valid driving licence, a document and a credit card (MASTER or VISA) as guarantee.

You can pay cash or by credit card (only MASTER and VISA).

included in the price:

using of helmets and rainjackets for the driver and the passenger,
extra locker for each vespa
VAT and unlimited mileage
Italian liability and property damage insurance
insurance in case of theft and fire with fixed exemption of 1500 euro (2000 euro for the Calessino) 

not included in the price:

petrol (fuel) and parking or speeding tickets
transfer of the vespas to where you need them
insurance for dammages on the vehicle caused by the client
 

insurance package:

For the vespas and the Ape Cross, paying 15 euro a day, you can get an extra-insurance against dammages on the vespa

(fixed exemption 600 euro) and reduce the exemption (from 1500 to 600 euro) in case of fire and  theft.
For the Ape Calessino the cost of the extra insurance to limit your responsability in case of dammages on the vehicle is 40 euro per day.

Individuals are encouraged to contact their own insurance providers if additional coverage is desired.

* Ape 50 cc:

  for minors the rental contract has to be signed together with their parents
